Not sure if I really captured it but I tried

Seeing Brianna grow up before his eyes was wonderful. But it also hurt at times like today when his baby girl was going to attempt bike riding for the very first time.

Joey promised to get her the best, most prettiest, pinkest bike ever and take her to the park and teach her how to ride. Today was that day and Joey couldn't help but remember his own bike riding experiences and he cringed. He saw all the falls, scrapes, bruises and such he experienced in his childhoood. He was always accident prone and he did not wish for his daughter to go through that.

But it was a little late for that since there she was coming out of the door with her bike in tow ready to learn and Joey could do nothing to deny her the joys of learning to ride.

So off to the park they went and Joey held on tight until she was ready. He knew he couldn't protect her from everything no matter how hard he tried. This was a rite of passage and besides he remembered that the best part of the falls and the scrapes and such was having someone cuddle you and make you feel better. Lucky for Brianna her father was the best at comfort and she would never remember the pain of falling just the love and comfort of her father.
