Chris laughed and went to search in Lance's pocket. "Nothing's in your pocket, you perv!"
Lance opened his eyes and smiled at Chris. "The other pocket, maybe?" "Maybe?"
Lance nodded his head. "Maybe. Check."
Chris did, and pulled out a small jewelry box. He grinned at Lance. "And just what is this?"
Lance shook his head. "I'm not sure. I'm pretty sure it's for you, though."
"For little ole me?"
"Yep. Wait!" Lance shot up and went to turn off all the lights. He flicked a switch and the gas-powered fireplace became the only light source in the room as he made himself comfortable on the couch again, Chris' head back in his lap. "Okay. Open."
And Chris did.
"It's---"
"Not too much? Not too big? You'll wear it?"
"--perfect." Chris smiled. He pulled out the earring, a small, gold LC, and held it up towards the fire light. "It's beautiful. You're such a sap, Lance."
Lance nodded. "Yes. You make me sappy, you ass." He leaned down and kissed Chris, taking the earring from his hands and putting it in his ear. "Looks good."
"Does it? Looks hot, huh?"
Lance smiled. "Yep. Hot." He kissed Chris again. "Babe?"
"Yeah?"
"What were you doing in the garage when I came home?"
Chris reached up for more kisses. "Hum?"
"What were you trying to hide from me?"
"Oh! I have a still. Making mead for now, but I'm gonna move on to moonshine, soon."
Lance nodded his head. "Okay. Mead. Of course." Who doesn't like home made mead?
