My first request here:

I'm all stressed out with moving into my new apartment and now my Internet connection at home (I'm at work right now) doesn't work for whatever reason and I'm desperately in need for some cheering up.

Anyone up writing me a Lance centric ficlet? Maybe Trickyfish or JoLa? That would be great :-).

Out Of The Closet (part one)

My muse came up with a cute moving-day ficlet, but insisted, absolutely insisted that it be Lance/Justin. Unfortunately, I am ruled by my muse, rather than my muse being ruled by me *sigh*. Anyway, happy moving day, I hope you enjoy the new apartment. :)

Out Of The Closet

Lance quickly unpacked, his heart pounding. It was his first apartment and his first apartment with a boyfriend. When he was finished, he stood back and looked around, making sure he had left enough room for Justin’s things. Joey stood beside him, holding his hand.

“It’s a big step in your life, Lance. I’m not sure if it’s right. We should move back with your parents.”

Lance squeezed Joey’s hand. “You could have stayed. I know you don’t care for my relationship with Justin, but---”

“You don’t need him!” Joey interrupted loudly. After taking a deep breath, he lowered his voice. “You have me. I have always been there for you.”

Lance turned to hug Joey, pulling him into an embrace and holding him for several minutes. “I know, but it’s time for me to have other relationships. Justin doesn’t know about you, so you’re going to have to hide. Come on, now. I made a nice space for you to live in the closet, behind my suitcase.”

Joey hung his head and dragged his feet as he followed Lance into the walk-in closet, muttering how unfair it all was. Lance barely got Joey settled before he heard Justin arrive.

“Please Joey,” he begged, “please stay quiet.”

Joey rolled his eyes as Lance backed out of the closet, turning off the light as he went.

“Hey Justin.”

Justin smiled and walked across the room, placing his hand on Lance’s waist as he leaned in to kiss him. “I’m so excited. This will be so awesome. No more sneaking around.”

“I know, baby. I wish we had time now, but I have to get to work. I’ll try to come home early.”

Justin nodded and watched as Lance left, then hurried out to his car. “Chris, you can come in, but remember our deal. Lance can’t know about you. Come on. You can help me unpack.”

Hours later, Justin wondered if it had been a good choice to allow Chris to help him. Chris’ idea of helping seemed to be limited to distracting Justin from the job at hand and making him laugh at silly things. He could never be angry at Chris though. Chris had always been there to help him through his bad times, like when his parents got divorced.
