Britney felt hurt as she read the article where Christina went off on her. Lost little girl. Probably. Britney knew that Christina was upset because Britney was getting all the publicity but what could Britney do. She never asked to have the press focus on her so intensely and her relationship with Justin just made it worse.

What really hurt Britney though was the way Christina expressed herself with such bitterness and resentment towards her. She had never wanted their friendship to be hurt by the supposed rivalry they had. Truth be told Britney loved Christina a lot.

Britney was just starting to realize just how much she loved Christina after the whole VMA's thing. She was so excited yet jealous when she saw Christina kissing Madonna. She wished it was her Christina was kissing and it didn't stop there.

The day after the VMA's when Britney got home from the parties and went to bed she couldn't help but pleasure herself to the images of Christina's body and the way it would feel against hers. Her lips, her hands and her voice whispering sweet nothings in Britney's ear. It didn't take long for Britney to reach orgasm and she fell into a deep sleep.

And then the article came out and although it didn't change Britney's feelings, she understood that Christina would never be hers. Christina saw her as a rival, an enemy and would never return her love.

All Britney had were her fantasies and unfortunately for her those would never be enough.
