I had never seen that clip before, that was incredibly entertaining! And somewhat inspiring. lol Since I like to have visuals to work with, here's a picture of the skirt that I envisioned Nick wearing: http://www.couturecandy.com/store/assets/saintgrace/stg-franskirtcndy-fnt2.jpg Hope this works for you.
“Hey, you guys!” Nick shouted from inside the large walk-in closet in the studio’s dressing room. The first item on their schedule for the day was a shoot for Ok! Magazine, and while waiting for the set to be arranged Nick had taken it upon himself to explore the available wardrobe. “Look what I found!”
“Your sexual orientation?” AJ mumbled. His wit, along with Nick’s initiative, went unnoticed. None of the other three men in the room so much as glanced up. It was far too early in the morning for Nick to be this energetic, and whatever it was he had found, it was in their best interest not to encourage him.
Encouragement or no, seconds later Nick emerged from the closet clutching a piece of brightly-colored fabric. Eyes glowing, he held it up by what appeared to be the waistband; the light pink fabric flowed down gracefully, swaying in his hands, and the hem gave a tantalizing flip. It was a pink skirt. “Look at this! Isn’t it so cool?!” He shook the skirt a few times to give the full demonstration of its allure, captivated as the fabric rippled back and forth.
Brian removed the baseball cap that had been covering his face and sat up slightly. “It’s a skirt. That’s, uh, great buddy.”
“I know, right?” Nick’s smile matched that of a child who had awakened to find a gift from the toothfairy under his pillow. He now held the skirt up to himself, as if to ascertain its dimensions.
“It’s probably from one of the other shoots. I’m pretty sure Jessica Simpson was in here yesterday.”
Nick was too fascinated with his discovery to be bothered with explanations. “Think it would look good on me?” Brian’s eyes widened at that, and AJ’s head snapped in their direction.
“I’m going to put it on!” Without waiting for a response, Nick turned and sprinted back into the closet, slamming the door behind him. At this, Kevin glanced up from the clipboard he had been perusing. Kevin was none too fond of unruliness before he’d even had a chance to finish his coffee. “Nick, what are you doing?”
Before a verbal assessment of the situation could be made, the door was flung open and Nick emerged again, and this time the pink fabric covered his legs. The hem rested just above his knees, and the elegantly layered waistband was snug across his hips. His jeans were nowhere in sight, presumably abandoned somewhere in the depths of the closet.
“I so knew this day was going to come. Howard, pay up.” AJ thrust his hand out expectantly, while Howie, seated next to him on the couch, simply gave him an affronted look.
“What the hell?” Kevin’s eyebrows attempted to meet each other in the middle of his forehead.
Nick modeled for them, grabbing the hem of the skirt and swishing it a bit. He attempted a can-can, but the skirt was too tight for the desired effect. He twirled a bit, quite enjoying the feeling of air flowing about his legs. “Isn’t it cool?”
“Nick, take that off now. We’re supposed to be on the set in less than ten minutes.” Nick stopped. He gave a final twirl for good measure.
“Hold up. You’re yelling at me for wearing a skirt?” Nick’s tone was incredulous. Kevin’s mouth set into a thin line.
There was a quick knock at the door before a young woman poked her head in to tell them that the photographer was ready.
“Nick, take it off now.”
“You know what? No. I like it. And I think I’m going to wear it.” And with that he strode out of the dressing room, hips swinging confidently, leaving four stunned men behind him.
“He does look pretty good in it.” The young assistant remarked appreciatively. “Fits him really well actually. No lines or anything.”
“Um, that’s not because it fits him.” Brian couldn’t help his smile of amusement as he nodded to the crumpled boxer-briefs on the floor of the closet.
“He took off his underwear?!” Kevin’s mouth twisted in disgust. That tone was usually reserved for much later in the day, but today was special apparently. AJ cackled behind them, and Brian and Howie at least attempted to stifle their laughter as Kevin stalked out of the dressing room.
Several weeks later, when the spring edition of Ok! Magazine hit the store shelves, the cover garnered much more attention for the group than anticipated.
Thank you! :D I thought the ending could have been more than it was, but I was tired and didn't feel like putting any more effort into it. lol So glad it made you laugh though!
