...after seeing the pictures of AJ with his new mohawk, and remembering Chris with his, I would like to see them fighting over a slightly conservative/clueless Howie whom AJ works with and Chris goes to school with. AU of course.

Or is that too specific? Have at it any way you wish. Mohawks required.

Um. It's not very good. I'm sorry.

Chris eyed McLean’s new haircut. “Oh for fuck’s sake,” he muttered. “See that, Joe? Such a copycat.”

“Oh, settle down, Chris. That was what? Twenty hairstyles ago?”

“Still.”

One big hand knuckled quickly over his hair. “Not much danger he’ll be copying this one.”

“Drunk, Joey. Drunk. I know you understand the concept.” Chris gingerly touched his hair.

“Pink, Chris. Pink. I know you understand that concept. Hell, at one point you must have specifically requested it.”

Chris glared, but his expression suddenly cleared. “There he is!” He grabbed a handful of Joey’s T-shirt and began to tow him through the crowd. Joey sighed, and glanced up to see McLean heading in the same direction. Oh dear.

They arrived next to Howie, who looked u and blinked. “Oh… Chris.” His mouth started to curve.

Chris winced. “I was drunk,” he muttered quickly.

McLean arrived in time to hear that. He snorted. “Drunk enough for that?”

Chris regarded him contemptuously. “Yeah, well, what about that?” He eyed AJ’s head. “What’s your excuse? You actually asked for that?”

“Fuck off, Kirkpatrick. Howie, how’re you?”

“Fine, fine.” Howie’s eyes were flickering nervously between the two combatants. Joey took pity on him.

“Hey, Howie, wanna help me get the drinks?”

“Um. Yeah.” Howie slipped quickly out to join Joey.

While they waited for the drinks to be brought, Joey turned to survey the room. And suddenly snorted with laughter. “Howie.” He poked him in the side. “I think your problem’s solved.”

“Yeah?”

Joey pointed. Howie looked, and grinned. “Getting quite into it, aren’t they?”

“Yeah. When exactly where you gonna tell them you were straight?”

“I… was a bit afraid to.”

Joey patted Howie’s shoulder. “Well, not an issue now.”
