Something that starts as Lance/Justin or JC/Justin, but ends as JC/Lance.

Angst isn't a requirement, though I can certainly see how it could be used. However the story is written (happy, angsty, nonchalant, etc.) is fine so long as it begins as one of the two pairings and ends as JC/Lance.

Thanks in advance. :)

Hope you like my little story :-). Not beta'd.

It was just natural for them to fool around. They were the babies of the group and had to stay back at the hotel a lot while the other three went clubbing and got drunk. It was nothing serious, just a way to experiment and pass the time and what would be better than to do all that with a good friend. Lance loved that combination and having regular sex with a teen idol wasn't so bad either.

There was just one problem. Lance had a huge crush on JC. Not that he believed he would ever have the slightest chance with JC, but nonetheless he felt guilty. Justin picked up on it pretty soon and made him talk about it and this was another thing he loved about his relationship with Justin.

He would listen to Lance whenever he needed it, comforting him and sometimes they ended up having sex and sometimes not. All that changed when JC walked in on them making out.

It was actually pretty harmless. They had been pumped up with adrenalin from their show, all excited about the screaming girls and the first thing Justin did after they had closed the door to their shared hotel room was to press him against the wall, kissing him hard, hips grinding against each other.

Lance gasped for air and all of a sudden JC was there, staring at both of them with an open mouth. For a long moment there was absolute silence. Lance was acutely aware of Justin's hard on pressed against his thigh and the warm flesh of Justin's neck beneath his fingertips.

Something flickered across JC's face. It could have been hurt or something completely different, Lance wasn't even sure it had actually happened and then JC mumbled an apology and left the room, closing the door behind him very carefully.

That was the last time Lance and Justin fooled around, not that Justin didn't want to continue their easy relationship, but Lance just couldn't do it anymore. In a twisted sort of way he felt as if he had betrayed JC. He had tried to explain it to Justin and even though Justin had listened attentively and had hugged him, Lance wasn't sure if he really understood.

Lance went into a pretty bad funk after that. He avoided both Justin and JC and he started to spend more time with Joey. Joey's optimism and general happiness felt soothing and he didn't make Lance talk about things he didn't want to talk about. But as much as he wanted to, he knew he couldn't avoid it forever.

"So," JC began, sitting down next to him and taking a sip from the water bottle. They both were sweating from dancing all day long and for once Lance was too tired to walk away. "I hear you and Justin broke up."

Lance rubbed the towel over his face. He didn't answer. There was nothing to say, except maybe that technically Justin and him didn't break up because they weren't even a couple.

"But I'm not sorry about it."

Lance gaped at JC. "What?"

"I'm not sorry you broke up."

"Why?" Lance blinked. This was just crazy. JC was crazy.

"Because," JC whispered, "I want you for myself."

Lance couldn't believe what he was hearing. There was no way JC had just said that. "What?" Lance squeaked.

JC leaned forward, squeezing Lance's hand. He hadn't even noticed that JC had taken his hand, stroking his thumb over it in a lazy rhythm. "I want you, Lance."

Lance swallowed. JC's face was so close and then JC was kissing him and stroking his hand and he forgot to breathe, because it felt so good when JC's tongue ran over his lower lip. He opened his mouth, deepening their kiss and along the line Lance remembered to breathe through his nose.

He didn't know how long they kissed, but when JC finally leaned back he was sure he was grinning like an idiot. JC's was beautiful, his cheeks were flushed and he was smiling. Smiling at him.

"Just in case I'm dreaming, don't wake me up."

JC grinned at him. "You're not dreaming."

"Good."
