Lance's eyes snap open when he feels the house shake and he sees the flash of light outside. His surroundings come back to him and he hears the rain pelting the sides of the house and hears the crackle of thunder. He whimpers a bit and berades himself for being such a pussy about some things.

He pulls the covers up over his head and tries to will away the noises. Why these storms freak him out so much, he'll never understand. He closes his eyes shut and wills the tears to stay at bay. Just make it stop, he thinks, for cryin' out loud, just let me go back to sleep. His thoughts race and he's on the verge of losing it-

"Shh, it's okay, cat." He feels arms wrap around his waist and that sleep clogged voice croon to him. He turns his body around and clings to his lover. "I'm sorry." He feels a little chuckle and a kiss on his shoulder. "For what?" Lance shrugs and curses himself for letting a tear drop fall on the older man's bare shoulder. "Actin' like this. Wakin' you up." He just kisses the frazzled man's lips and pulls the covers up over both their heads.

Lance snuggles and buries his head into the fleshy pillow. He feels the shroud of sleepiness cover him and suddenly the storm isn't so bad. "Love you, Jace." JC smiles. "Love you." And Lance suddenly is looking forward to the next storm.

haha i never would have gotten this comment unless i got back. thank you for the feedback. glad you enjoyed it and can relate. storms scare the bajesus outta me and it's been raining cold rain nonstop for the last week and lightning struck in a neighbors yard the other night, so yeah. BIG RUN ON SENTENCE :P
