And I could really use some TrickC PWP - or even TrickCfish. (Plot? What plot? Plot is SO overrated...)Yeah, been that kind of week. Er. Weekend. The rest feel free to fill in the blanks.
Chris groans. He is pulled from sleep. He does not know what has woken him, but when he is less disoriented, he knows what it is. Crying.
He darts up from the bed and tries to seek it out. He finds the source in his office. He sees the light from the computer screen glow and hears the sobbing, but cannot find the one who cries. He looks around and sees him folded up behind the leather couch, shoulders shaking with sobs.
“Jayce, come on, what’s wrong?” JC continues to cry, so Chris goes to the computer to see if this is the reason why he cries. He reads the article about a young boy named Zach. His parents don’t like he’s gay. They are sending him to an “ex-gay” camp. His heart breaks for the older man on the floor, for the younger child who is now trapped. “Oh, Jayce.”
JC wipes his cheeks with the back of his hand. “Why do people think this is something that needs to be fixed? Why can’t they just accept it? Why do people have to be so,” JC chokes on a sob, “ugly?”
Chris goes over to the younger man and nuzzles his head against the other’s. “I don’t know, babe.” He stares into the icy blue eyes that are overflowing with tears. “But does it matter what they think? You know it’s not wrong. You know what we have isn’t wrong.”
JC sniffles. “But this poor kid. The others. Why does this shit happen?” Chris shrugs. “I couldn’t tell ya, but we’ll get up in the morning and we’ll call the ACLU. Until then, let’s go to bed. You’re stressing yourself out too much.” JC nods, taking the older man’s hand as he pulls him up into an embrace. After a moment of being enveloped in each other’s arms, they go hand in hand up the stairs and back into bed.
Chris kisses the back of JC’s neck. “I love you, ya know? Just thought you should know.” JC chuckles softly. “I’m well aware.”
