Haven't requested in a while.
But I'm feeling some A-Rok love. Maybe one being goofy, trying to soothe some jitters before a show?
Or, you know, whatever strikes your fancy. I'm not picky. :D

Date: 2005-08-03 05:14 am (UTC)"I fuckin' forgot my lines. I'm such a dumbass! Gosh!"
"Dang!" Brian retorts, jerking his head quickly downward. They've been quoting Napoleon Dynamite ever since Nick threw the flick into AJ's bus during a rest stop, and Brian can't get enough, as usual.
When his head moves back to level, he notices a metal push cart leaning in the corner, begging to be used. "Wanna go take some sweet jumps?"
And then the blond is grabbing the large movable object, commanding AJ to ride standing upon the steep platform, attempting to push it across the the intimate stadium stage they'll be performing on later that day. The lovable looks on their faces mask any sense of fatigue in their otherwise worn out physiques, and Brian emanates no fear as he approaches the side staircase, sending AJ flying off the vehicle with a crash that echoes beyond the amphitheatre boundaries.
"Sweet! Ow." AJ's a blur of tattoos and black clothing, sprawled dramatically along the bottom stairs.
Promptly, Brian's kneeling at his bandmate's side, his palm carefully shaped around the curve of AJ's shoulder. "You all right?"
"Yeah. I think." He moves, yet faintly. Littrell turns him on his back, and pulls back his sunglasses, slightly crooked from the fall.
"Hmm." His thumb gently caresses the right side of AJ's goatee, almost fully grown in now since the video shoot. "How long did it take you to grow that moustache?"
"A couple of days." Alex smiles. Brian reciprocates, moving his hand to the start of his neck and leaning forward to kiss him.

Date: 2005-08-03 05:15 am (UTC)They separate, staring at, into, one another. AJ eventually grasps his friend's upper arm, and Brian knows something's up. He'd known as soon as he removed the plastic, darkened frames from his timid face. "Angel?"
Brian's temple wrinkles, and his eyes alight, ready to calm and consult all on their own.
"I think I'm...nervous. About tonight. About the rest of the tour. I think that, whenever I forget something, I remember."
Although Brian wishes that he doesn't understand what he means, he just isn't that lucky. AJ forgot much, and often, during their supposed "Golden Age," and brought deep frustration and stress to the entire group. He was sober now, but he couldn't ever erase his past; that was impossible.
"If you forget a line, that's OK. You aren't condemned to hell. It's not the end of the world, baby."
"Well what if it is? What if I'm just fucked, for life?"
"What's wrong with that? I mean, if it's by me, of course."
"Brian. I'm serious."
The older man ponders for a moment. He grins an evil grin, pulling AJ to his feet, and bringing him against the cold dark plastered wall of the floor section.
Alex feels awkward, pinned as if they were to hook up right then and there. However, Brian's prepared to use his mouth in a very different way. He intertwines his hands with the man before him, giving them both added stability before he speaks.
"AJ. Don't be afraid. Don't fear. Don't run away. Ever again. You know who you are, you know you're not all that different from everyone else. And since you know that, you don't have to worry. You've been through a hell of a lot, and because of that, you can only become better.
"I see you up there. You give everything you've got, and what more can you expect from yourself than that? The fans see it; they love you. I believe it. I believe in you."
Brian sighs, his own uneasiness waning. "And never forget one thing. I'm here."
They remain still, both frozen in time along with the words uttered just prior to. AJ's speechless, resorting to thank his mate through the touch of lips. Welcomingly, Brian moans into the kiss, adding a bit of tongue for good measure.
"AJ! Need you up here for vocals now!"
"Mmm," he mutters, breaking their solid bond. "Great timing, huh?"
Brian giggles. "We'll finish this later. Go on, knock 'em dead for me, will ya?" McLean beams, rushing to climb the steps with ease.
Upon reaching the top, he looks back, one more time. "Would you vote for me?"
"Heck yes! I'd vote for you." AJ's eyes light up this time. In confidence, he walks toward his future.
And Brian will be there.

He intertwines his hands with the man before him, giving them both added stability before he speaks.
LOVE this line. There's just no other way for me to say it.
And I also love how goofy they are, and then how Brian has to physically calm himself down before he can be serious.
I adore the way you write these two.
Thank you so much for responding to this!

Date: 2005-08-05 05:52 am (UTC)You have such a great way to work with the sentences and the words you pick. I don't know if I'm explaining that right, but yeah, that's what strikes me most about your writing. And the way you pull me right in and the way you work out the situation and the emotions. It just feels real and it's just beautiful.
